It was meant to be a swift and uneventful snatch-and-grab. At the speed of light. Bonnie and Clyde type of drama excluded. They had practiced it a million times before the actual heist. But the damned teller put paid to all their hopes. He should not have charged at them with the fire extinguisher. Their shared Luger was just meant to symbolize and not fire.
Drawing the curtain slightly apart she could make out the contours of not only the beautiful landscape but also the approaching police cars.
It would be their last clear white moon together.
