“A Clash of Kings” takes off from where “A Game Of Thrones” ends. The roller coaster saga of emotions continues in an unstoppable vein. George Martin as his critics rightly prophesy, has in all probability produced a fantasy series unrivalled in its sweep. The Seven Kingdoms are in a state of dangerous flux after the death of King Robert Baratheon, the Emperor of the Iron Throne. While his heir Joffry inherits the Throne (in controversial circumstances), there begins a tremendous clash between Kings staking rival claims to the ultimate Power.

While uneasy might be the Head that wears the Crown, the insatiable lust for power leads the claimants to bank on sorcery and seduction, alliances and arrows, cunning and chicanery and murder and mystique. The Starks of Winterfell collide with the Lannisters at King’s End while a whole host of characters at the periphery including dragon keepers and dungeon inhabitants lend their mite to further confound the confusion!

A Clash Of Kings – reverberating read!
