Monotony – Curse of the Modern World

Identical rivets in fasteners, all rusting at once

Indistinguishable fingers wilting away on stereotypical keyboards.

Slaves to the twin hands of a clock, themselves the masters of monotony

Acolytes at the altar of time stripped of feelings and fun.

Unheeding the withering of lives and unmindful of whispered warnings

Unrepentant of wasted moments and uncaring of waning relations

CHORE over cause – Elegiac!
