Ring Fence

Screaming inside yet sitting stoic and bolt upright

Crying from within yet dry as a desert to every sight without

An Alcazar that keeps out help, heart and happiness

A dangerous quicksand that keeps beating a hasty retreat

Immune to coercion, impervious to cajoling and inured to chaos

Closed to reasoning and allergic to the joys of life

An enigma, a riddle, and a jigsaw puzzle never amenable for solving

Obstinate, helpless, remote and reclusive
