Soul Booze

The dank and damp confines of the dirty pub

Stale sweat mixing with the ubiquitous whiff of alcohol;

In dirt I find purity and in chaos I seek salvation

It is the froth of life that bubbles forth from the confines of every pint;

The very Omphalos of existence

Squalor thy name is solace; Noise thy synonym is melody;

Every banter, every brawl and every boozy breath a universe within a multiverse

Every shattering of glass the collapse of a star;

Every drunken soul a supernova, every bartender a blackhole
