Faded booklets advertising the Castle visit lay strewn in a haphazard manner at both the entrance and the exits. A damp and musty smell permeated the length and breadth of the structure. Rotting beams reluctantly hosted a magnificent symmetry of cobwebs into whose maze unsuspecting insects were being entangled. The guided tours had stopped. The only guests were howling winds and lashing rains. The archway at the entrance was now called, βThe Ghostly Bend.β It was 17 years to the day since two youths went inside the Castle only to be found later as bodies.
I was one of them.
