Undoing Project

This is one of the best books that Michael Lewis has ever written! The embellished nature of the book is singularly attributable to the chosen subject. The riveting story of how two geniuses came together in a collaboration that toppled the very edifice of conventional thinking and demolished the way in which people think. The story of Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky is awe inspiring and humbling. Two immensely brilliant psychologists and polar opposites when it comes to habits and beliefs somehow find it in themselves to lead an extraordinarily symbiotic professional life and in the process churn out radical ideas that benevolently impact and influence human thinking in manifold walks of life.

Michael Lewis does not concentrate upon explaining the nuts and bolts of the various theories and postulations developed by this dynamic duo. Instead he concentrates on what actually made two individuals – who were as different in outlook from one another as what a chalk is to cheese – click like clockwork as a team. The right amount of humour and a precious collection of tasteful anecdotes not only add colour to an inspiring story, but also brings it to stirring life. The undoing which Kahneman and Tversky did during the course of the revolutionary partnership did yeoman service to mankind. With a superb retelling of the genesis forming the cornerstone of this beautiful partnership, Michael Lewis has done his bit towards furthering the prospects for a better living.
