Fallen Leaves – Haiku Version

A long pilgrimage

Journey into the deep soul

Cleansing exercise

Obstinate demons

Collected with abandon

Unknowingly stored

Fallen autumn leaves

Neglected to be swept away

A whole pile of them

Swirling thoughts assail

A cauldron of confusion

Begging for respite

Prejudices galore

Bottled up rage and anguish

Crying out release

Places and pitstops

Undisturbed sounds of silence

Resting of nature

Disappearing wants

Purging of greed’s last vestige

A Soul purified

Peak of a mountain

Lost in glorious sunrise

Gratitude emerges

Lush rolling meadows

Calm cows grazing serenely

Mother Earth’s children

Abandoned backyard

A wild profusion of hedges

Someone’s happy home

Standing sentinel

Unceasing breaking of waves

A lover’s deep laugh

Completed journey

Stirring of a redeemed soul

End means beginning
